Birthdays 8/8 - 11/6 - 12/4

First we have Emmry. Her birthday was on August 8. We decided to let her have a sleepover. I was actually impressed at how well the girls got along and didn't fight. They were typical girls, afraid of the dog, talked til 3, and had a beauty pagent, but hey, I was the coolest mom on the block for weeks. She had to dress up like a little princess and I got her a sachel to make her the official queen of the sleepover. Of course Ry was close by to supervise.
Next we have Tristan's Birthday on November 6. He was so excited, but you can't really tell in this picture. Here he looks like we doped him up before the party. But his best cousin Ivy is there to lend some air if he needs it.

Grandma Val got him a shirt that said, "I do all my own stunts." She knows her grandson well.

And last for our family this year was Wesson. He turned 1 years old on December 4. He couldn't believe he got the entire piece to himself. He wasn't sure what to do. So he stared for awhile then dipped his fingers in. It took about 10 minutes before he dove in, but Casey was done taking pictures by then.

We had a great year and hope that next year is just as exciting, fun, and full of adventure. Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello Everyone- I hope you had as wonderful Thanksgiving Day as we did.
We went to Pattie and Gary's for dinner. Wonderful food and fun company was there. Casey's brother Brad and his pretty wife are patiently waiting the arrival of their first baby due in February.
Sam was there having fun texting his girlfriend back and forth. The girls and Tristan loved trying all the different kinds of food. Wes just enjoyed playing with the pop cans on the floor.
Then we headed up to my mom's for a fun pie party.
Randy, of course, was watching the games. But surprise, surprise, we got him up to play a game of dominoes. But had to call it quit early because most the kids were ready for bed. Mom was grounded for getting in her closet again. JK
Mindi and Dave made some yummy pies. And of course we all had some noodles that I made. Not to toot my own horn, but I think this years I could have competed with Aunt Imie.
We are so thankful to have a wonderful family who is here to support us and loves us. Thanks for all you do. We are also blessed with our wonderful children and the home we live in. I feel that my cup runneth over. I wish everyone a wonderful Holiday Season and hope to see all of you with good fortune in the upcoming new year.
WE LOVE YOU!

SUMMER is coming to an end!

It has been such a fun summer. It seems like only yesterday I was starting my summer cleaning rituals and now it is time for school to start in a few weeks. AHHH!
But the summer fun will always be remembered. We had fun with my family and Casey's. Just going on short day trips with the kids and dogs. Or staying up late and having some quiet time to share with each other. Casey and I want to thank everyone who made our summer so much fun. And can't wait to do it again next year. Phoebe is pooped. This has been a long summer for her trying to get Chase in line.
Our trip to Jackson was a great way to start off the summer.

But the kids liked just hanging around more than planning stuff.

Mom had a fun party to start the summer off too. She was very surprised her children remembered her. JK

And our trip bowling with Casey's family was great too. We also went to the zoo. But those pictures have not been put on my computer. When Casey updates them I will update you.
SO LONG SUMMER and HELLO SCHOOL AND HOLIDAY FUN!!!!

We're gonna b-o-w-l TONIGHT!!!

We went for a fun family filled Saturday bowling with Casey's family.
Here is Wes and Grandpa having a staring contest. I think Grandpa won.
Wes didn't want his picture taken.
Are we done yet? Ry and Gramps want to know.
Casey couldn't get Oriah to sit down unless she was in Grandpa's arms. Emmry was ready to bowl and Grandma in the back just knocked down 4 pins. YEAH! JK

Is it my turn yet?>?? Two year olds think it is always their turns.

It was a fun day. Sam came in first, Casey 2nd..... I think the rest of us lost count. Good thing too. It was my worse game I ever bowled except that one time I slid down the lane. (remember that date Mindi.)

Emmry's Kindergarten Graduation!!!!!

YEAH!!! We have a graduate. Now she just has 16 years left of school. JK
Here is Emmy with her teacher Ms. Biers. She was a great teacher. Ry had her as well and she is truly a great gal. We will miss her next year. Emmy all smiles in her daddy's arms.
What no flowers? Emmry likes to get flowers for every event in her life.

Look dad and Ang I made it.

OUCH!!! update

After three days of being wrapped up it is all better. NOT!!
But it looks a lot better than it did. And only after nine stitches. This was the good news (the doc said) because it had coloring and was not black Casey gets to keep the end of his finger. Which he was very grateful for because he has grown attached to it over the years.
If he hadn't worn his gloves then his finger probably wouldn't be with us anyway right now.

Dr. Orders: Must not lift, weld, grasp, or pull for three weeks.
So Casey is working in the Tool crib. NOT A FUN PLACE FOR SOMEONE WHO LIKES HARD LABOR. But most of his buddies are jealous.
Also, no welding at school, so he gets to bury his nose in a book for a couple of weeks.
His foreman said it could have been a lot worse and some guys did have it alot worse. And on Monday Casey is the safety focus for monday morning meeting. The guy who let go too early is going to be red.
Thanks for all your prayers we know they helped.

McCoppin Siblings

I thought I would take a moment and post some fun updates about my brother and sisters.
Here we are at Dad's grave the night of mom's birthday bash. I think it is the first picture we have all been in for quite awhile. It reminded me of the pictures dad took with all of his sisters at the reunions. I started reminicing about the fun times playing cards and dominoes. Tami telling us scary stories and Charles swearing at Randy and Shawnfor beating him at Hearts. I know we will always miss those who go before us. But they would want us to treasure the time we have with our loved ones on earth. Randy - Just graduated from Idaho State with his Masters in Business. Go Randy!!!!

Tami- Is basically the soccer mom of the neighborhood. Sierra 12, plays on every soccer league she can. Caden is going into 5th grade and is one of the sweetest boys I know that age. Hunter is 4 and Mr. Sports. He plays with all the kids no matter what their age. (I don't know how Tami does all this and works in a lab doing prenatal tests. Shawn now works two jobs with a paper route and his lawn mowing business.

Mindi - Just got a new job as a math specialist in Weber District. She is not going to work at my school. But now we are in the same district. Austin 8 is too smart for his own good. Erin 6 is a beauty with alot of attitude. JK Ivy 3 is sweet and is no longer shy. Oakland is almost 8 months and going to be either a sumo wrestler when he grows up or a chef. Dave is doing his paper routes and running a home inspection business with his dad.

Me (Angie) - Still work in Weber school district, but will switch to Roosevelt next year to be a little closer to home and will teach 4th grade. I am very excited. Oriah 7 is doing great. She loves Hannah Montanna and sings all the time. Emmry 5 had a great first year of school. She can't wait for summer. Tristan 2 too smart for his own good, too. Is almost done potty training.YEAH!!!! Wesson 6 months today!!!! Is teething or has an ear infection, not sure which. Going to see the doctor today. Casey's finger is still on and will stay on (hopefully). He is on light duty at work and he will take a week off of welding school. For three weeks he is not allowed to weld so at school he'll mainly do his bookwork and at work he gets to be in the tool crib.

Mom - Is doing good. She had a fun trip to Jackson with us a couple of weeks ago and tomorrow we will head up to the cabin with her.

Hope all is great with your families and have a wonderful safe summer.
